The KFSSG will operate on a multi agency basis with GoK leadership. Initially the body shall be chaired by the Office of the President. It is anticipated that the KFSSG will eventually form the proposed Food Security and Drought Management Secretariat (FSDMS) within the Drought and Emergency Response Coordination Department of the OoP and that the chair shall come from this body.

The proposed organizational structure is given in the organogram below. This set-up reflects recent changes within Government structures.
